CCM Health is excited to welcome Eduardo Duenas, MD to their team of providers<\/a>!\u00a0 Dr. Duenas obtained his doctorate degree from the University of Valle (Columbia) and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Texas. Dr. Duenas also completed a research fellowship focusing on infectious diseases at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda Maryland, a clinical fellowship in hospital\/inpatient internal medicine, and received a master\u2019s degree in clinical research from Mayo Clinic. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine<\/a>, is a member of the American College of Physicians<\/a>, Mayo Clinic Alumni Association<\/a>, and the American Medical Association<\/a>.\u00a0Dr. Duenas is highly experienced and has previously worked at CCM Health as a locum provider.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Early in his childhood, Dr. Duenas was inspired by his father who generously and skillfully provided medical care to families in the Andes mountains.\u00a0He fostered a natural urge to assist people and their families when presented with challenges.\u00a0 The satisfaction of participating even in a small part to restore someone\u2019s physical and emotional well-being is what drove him to become a physician.\u00a0Dr. Duenas has developed a successful and rewarding career in world leading academic tertiary medical centers and has steered his practice towards the direct care of people in community-based health systems.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cThrough firsthand health delivery and education of patients and families in local communities, I have found a more fulfilling expression in medicine where hope, faith, kindness, knowledge and technology meet.\u00a0The exposure in western Minnesota to an extensive community of hard-working families with strong core values, who very much care for and support each other and who strive for community well-being energized me to reciprocate with compassionate and comprehensive medical care. I am proud to be able to continue to serve this community.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Dr. Duenas enjoys spending time with wife, Dihanna, and his two children, Santiago and Tatiana.\u00a0They enjoy traveling, hiking, exploring and remaining active together as a family.\u00a0In his spare time, Dr. Duenas enjoys different cuisines, history, sports, geography and most of all spending time with his family and friends. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
