{"id":3679,"date":"2021-08-24T08:56:43","date_gmt":"2021-08-24T13:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/?p=3679"},"modified":"2022-09-02T10:03:14","modified_gmt":"2022-09-02T15:03:14","slug":"welcome-general-surgeon-dr-stevenson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/welcome-general-surgeon-dr-stevenson\/","title":{"rendered":"CCM Health Welcomes General Surgeon, Yuan Stevenson, MD"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>CCM Health is excited to welcome <a href=\"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/provider\/yuan-stevenson\/\">Yuan Stevenson, MD<\/a> to their team of <a href=\"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/find-a-provider\/\">providers<\/a>!\u00a0 Dr. Stevenson is a graduate of Gordon College, Wenham, MA and Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA.\u00a0 She completed her residency at Guthrie Clinic &#8211; Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA and completed her fellowship at the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY.\u00a0 Dr. Stevenson is board certified on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.absurgery.org\/\">American Board of Surgery<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Dr. Stevenson was drawn to the medical profession because she yearned for a career that is both highly practical and intellectually stimulating.\u00a0 She enjoys working with her hands and relieving others of their pain and suffering. Dr. Stevenson has always been very intentional in acquiring a breadth of skills that equip her to deal with surgical settings.\u00a0 She enjoys the \u201cbread-and-butter\u201d general surgeries and endoscopy procedures as well as cases unique to practice settings with limited specialty availability.\u00a0 She is passionate about bringing endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) to the region.\u00a0 Yuan has always wanted to be a general surgeon that would serve a rural community. \u201cI feel my personal values are very much aligned with the mission of CCM Health to provide a lifetime of quality personalized care.\u00a0The Montevideo area is the community that I always envisioned myself to be part of, where I want to raise my kids,\u201d shared Dr. Stevenson. \u201cI love to practice medicine where my patients may be my neighbors, friends from church, or folks I will see in the grocery store and restaurants.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Dr. Stevenson grew up in Beijing, China but spent most of the past decade in Pennsylvania.\u00a0She enjoys cooking, playing the Kalimba (a simple wooden instrument that sounds like a music box), and making wire wrapping jewelry.\u00a0Her husband and their soon to be three-year-old son, Jonathan (Bear Bear) are very much looking forward to the camping and hiking opportunities in the area.\u00a0Yuan also sleeps on a wooden pillow!
