{"id":3794,"date":"2021-10-11T12:45:25","date_gmt":"2021-10-11T17:45:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/?p=3794"},"modified":"2021-11-29T10:01:37","modified_gmt":"2021-11-29T16:01:37","slug":"memory-care-clinic-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/memory-care-clinic-interview\/","title":{"rendered":"CCM Health\u2019s Memory Care Clinic Interviewed for Research Article"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Montevideo, Minnesota<\/strong> \u2014 Members of CCM Health\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/rehabilitation-services\/memory-care-clinic\/\">Memory Care Clinic<\/a> were interviewed to be part of a research article published in a recent issue of the <em>Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neurology.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cExploring Memory Care Clinic in Minnesota: A Qualitative\nAnalysis\u201d researched memory clinic care provision throughout the state of\nMinnesota. CCM Health was selected as 1 of the 11 memory clinics interviewed\nfor the research article. The article, which was written by Robyn W. Birkeland,\nPhD, Hayley R. McCarron, MPH, Manka Nkimberg, PhD, MPH, RN, and Joseph E.\nGaugler, PhD, examined the similarities and diversity of services that were\nprovided by the memory care clinics and the challenges that each are facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The research article shared that CCM Health, as well as the other\ninterviewed memory care clinics, are providing patients with a \u201cwealth of\nresources and support\u201d in addition to being able to clearly name the cognitive diagnosis\nto the patient and family, as assessment results allowed. The article also highlighted\nthat the interviewed clinics \u201cengaged in thorough medication reviews and worked\nto provide appropriate medication with an emphasis on non-pharmacological\nmethods to help treat behavioral, psychological, and safety concerns.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe were extremely pleased that our <a href=\"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/rehabilitation-services\/memory-care-clinic\/\">Memory Care Clinic<\/a> was asked to be included and interviewed for this research article,\u201d shared Gretchen Reeves, CCM Health\u2019s Speech-Language Pathology Supervisor who oversees its <a href=\"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/rehabilitation-services\/memory-care-clinic\/\">Memory Care Clinic<\/a>. \u201cIt provides us with the acknowledgement that the work we are doing in Southwest Minnesota is being recognized by colleagues in the memory care field.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/ccmhealthmn.com\/provider\/jessica-stetner\/\">Jessica Stettner, APRN, CNP<\/a>, a provider who specializes in Adult Geriatric Care at CCM Health shared, &#8220;The Memory Care Clinic is an asset to CCM Health and the community.
