CCM Health is pleased to announce the addition of pain management services<\/a> to its comprehensive list of offerings<\/a>, starting in January 2024. The expansion is aimed at addressing the impact of pain on individuals’ work, personal lives, and overall well-being.<\/p>\n

The pain relief team at CCM Health is well-equipped to assist patients in managing a variety of pain types, ranging from short-term discomfort to chronic conditions such as headaches, joint pain, back pain, and more. The team is dedicated to addressing common conditions like arthritis, degenerative disc disease, herniated disc, sciatica, and post-shingles neuroalgia, among others.<\/p>\n

Thomas Lewsion, CRNA, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and the main provider for the pain management services at CCM Health in Montevideo, shared, “Pain management is a crucial aspect of healthcare, especially for those suffering from chronic pain. Our goal is to help our patients regain control of their lives by providing effective solutions to manage pain and improve overall quality of life.”<\/p>\n

Chronic pain can have significant negative effects on patients, including persistent muscle tightness, soreness, fatigue, weight gain, and mood effects such as anxiety and depression. Mr. Lewsion emphasizes that individuals do not have to live with chronic pain, and seeking help is the first step toward a better quality of life.<\/p>\n

Tom Lewsion underwent specialized training by completing the Pain Management Fellowship program<\/a> at Texas Christian University in 2021. He has been serving patients in CCM Health\u2019s surgery department since October 2012 and continues to ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care today.<\/p>\n
